It seems to me that more and more people are beginning to read my humble weblog, which no doubt puts some unconscious restraint on my controversial tendencies. Sigh. What a pity that it should actually come to this. No matter, I suppose I still have some room for more than a little bit of fun, eh?
I haven't had any exceptionally thought-provoking episodes this week, so pardon me if I lightly brush on some mundane matters revolving around yours truly. Shouldn't you think that it's a good thing that I'm not brooding too much on things that I really shouldn't concern myself with? But I'm starting to feel my mind has recently become rather lazy and complacent, of which this dearth of mental fodder is but a simple manifestation. It's almost as if I've been expending too much energy in directing my mind in the directions of academic consolidation and the analysis of my psychological subtleties, so much so that I've reached beyond some unseen limit or somesuch. Thank goodness for the 3 week break till the next CA for some recuperative relaxation. It looks like I'm not going to enjoy such a luxury for much longer, for I've just seen the CA5 scope for biochemistry and it looks insurmountable. But I'm not complaining, for I thoroughly enjoy putting my grey matter to good use, as much as I do not enjoy physical exertion of most kinds.
I'm extremely irritated with my younger brother. Just when I thought he couldn't infuriate me anymore, he went and tore the box of my Scorponok. For the uninitiated, Scorponok is my most treasured Transformers robot (since it cost nearly $100). His destructive capability is extremely trying on my good nature, since he spent the first few years of his life tearing up all my precious books and leaving them in a most miserable state. Granted that he does not destroy my things on purpose, it does not mean that I cannot get angry at him. Argh, I'm still very irritated.
--fume-- At least he's taping the box back together now.
Only 5 people turned up for yesterday's MQ - so dismal ja? I wonder why. But it was quite a riot. Raphael is extremely amusing, with his penchant for corny jokes reminiscent of those I used to compose when I was in JC. And his impersonation of CCP really awakened many of those memories of JC life under CCP. It's quite amazing how much he's like me in very many ways. Of course, ZL thinks he talks like me, which I haven't really been able to detect, but then, I don't think I'm in a good position to judge on that point. And he's a TV addict too! He was telling me about Centennial Charmed, which I missed on Wednesday (I didn't know it was
the episode! I should kill myself for missing it! Argh!). And he likes Piper too. I mean, I haven't met many people out there who watch Charmed, let alone like Piper the most. How can people prefer Phoebe and Paige to Piper? (Excuse me, but Paige?
Paige?) Piper is like, so cool. She definitely is the best Charmed one, in my opinion. And Leo is so angelic too. Don't they make the most photogenic couple?
I do realise that that was quite a bit of excessive gushing on my part. My apologies for the assault on your sensibilities. But Charmed is still the show, next to CSI. Not that I actually watch it much since I sleep at 10 and sometimes I forget to set the VCR, but still...
Ouch. I have this tooth growing out in the bottom right posterior corner of my mouth. I had thought it must be a molar or something, since I counted my teeth and came with a grand total of 28 - the normal number of teeth being 32, if I'm not wrong. That's when Ms Ong told me that the extra 4 are actually the wisdom teeth, which was quite a shock. Ouch. I hope it's not infected or anything. I mean, I don't mind an operation, but be unable to talk is a torture I can't even begin to fathom.
--shudder--
Hmm, I have just read WM's blog, not that it was very difficult to find. I'm not saying anything. But agriculture?
Agriculture?? Talk about environ
mental...
It seems PDP is on tomorrow, since I have not had any bad news come my way as yet. I was fearing the worst when I heard that the the doctor's PDP group for last year only had
2 out of 7 PDP sessions. I mean, if he can't fit us into his schedule, we can gladly split up and go to other PDP groups, ja? And then I heard liying's group hasn't has a single PDP session. How shocking.
I think that should be all there is to it. I think it's becoming an addiction - this weblog business. I'm becoming conscious of the fact that I try to find interesting things to gripe about in my weblog, when it started as a spontaneous outflowing of inspiration. This is rather disturbing, but I suppose I'm being paranoid, as usual.
