CONSUMED. by avaris

Analyse This

It's already the second day of the New Year, yer somehow I still don't feel like it's 2005. In fact I wish 2005 had never come, if just for the insipidly inane reason that I still want to download like crazy. But oh well. I certainly do hope that downloading anime is still legal, and that the Gahmen only wants to crack down on downloaders of music and movies. Sigh. Ever think that the more connected we become, the less connected we are?

I love the weather outside. Sitting in your room looking out the window at grey skies and misty rain has a certain kind of warmth to it, especially if you don't have to go out. My mother, however, is screaming bloody murder every day because her laundry won't dry in the wet weather. You can never please anyone, huh? Another thing I love about this weather is that it allows me to wear really thick clothes that I would otherwise be unable to wear because I sweat like a slug in a pan of salt.

It's just about a week from when the killer tsunami struck, and somehow I think I'm still in a state of shocked disbelief, like the sheer reality of the situation hasn't quite sunk in yet. I mean, tsunamis are things out of cartoons and legend and geography textbooks. And the high death toll makes it surreal as well; it's impossible to encompass the scope of such a calamity (this is really silly, but I never thought I'd be able to use the word calamity to describe something). My heart goes out to all the people. And yeah I'm really bad at expressing my feelings about such things.

I went to do the handwriting analysis test on plhu's blog, and found the results to be somewhat accurate, so here they are:

Andre has a healthy relationship to the past and is ready to move on. The right side of the page represents the future and Andre is ready and willing to get started living now and planning for the future. Andre is leaving the past behind and moving on to what he perceives as an exciting and enticing future. That's true. I like to stop and think about things in the past, but most of the time I look forward, not back. No use fretting over things that could have been.

Andre has a healthy imagination and displays a fair amount of trust. He lets new people into his circle of friends. He uses his imagination to understand new ideas, things, and people. Haha yes. Sometimes I imagine too much.

Andre has a temper. He uses this as a defense mechanism when he doesn't understand how to handle a situation. Temper is a hostile trait used to protect the ego. Temper can be a negative personality trait in the eyes of those around him. That is so true. And some of you might have experienced that temper before. It's something I try to control, though. Temper is not a good thing.

Andre is sarcastic. This is a defense mechanism designed to protect his ego when he feels hurt. He pokes people harder than he gets poked. These sarcastic remarks can be very funny. They can also be harsh, bitter, and caustic at the same time. Yeah, don't poke me too hard :P

Andre is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth. This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. He needs to visualize the end of a project before he starts. he finds joy in anticipation and planning. Notice that I said he plans everything he is going to do, that doesn't necessarily mean things go as planned. Andre basically feels good about himself. He has a positive self-esteem which contributes to his success. He feels he has the ability to achieve anything he sets his mind to. However, he sets his goals using practicality-- not too "out of reach". He has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, he will not take great risks, as they relate to his goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, his self-perception is better than average. I don't think I have very good self-esteem, but most of the rest of this is true.

In reference to Andre's mental abilities, he has a very investigating and creating mind. He investigates projects rapidly because he is curious about many things. He gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but he soon must slow down and look at all the angles. He probably gets too many things going at once. When Andre slows down, then he becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, he must slow down to do it. He then decides what projects he has time to finish. Thus he finishes at a slower pace than when he started the project. He has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. His mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. He can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Andre can then switch into his low gear. When he is in the slower mode, he can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. He is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.

Andre is secretive. He has secrets which he does not wish to share with others. He intentionally conceals things about himself. He has a private side that he intends to keep that way, especially concerning certain events in his past. This was where it started to get a little spooky. Yup, I'm an intensely private person. Even people who've known me all my life don't know everything about me.

Andre will demand respect and will expect others to treat him with honor and dignity. Andre believes in his ideas and will expect other people to also respect them. He has a lot of pride. Respect me or die! Hahaha.

Andre uses judgment to make decisions. He is ruled by his head, not his heart. He is a cool, collected person who is usually unexpressive emotionally. Some may see him as unemotional. He does have emotions but has no need to express them. He is withdrawn into himself and enjoys being alone. The circumstances when Andre does express emotions include: extreme anger, extreme passion, and tremendous stress. If someone gets him mad enough to tell him off, he will not be sorry about it later. He puts a mark in his mind when someone angers him. He keeps track of these marks and when he hits that last mark he will let them know they have gone too far. Am I unemotional? Maybe lately, but I should think I am quite emotional. And yes I do keep records of all those "marks", regrettably. Whenever I go berserk it's because someone has gone too far over the line, but I suppose most people get angry for the same reasons.

He is ruled somewhat by self-interest. All his conclusions are made without outside emotional influence. He is very level-headed and will remain calm in an emergency situation. In a situation where other people might get hysterical, he has poise. Andre will work more efficiently if given space and time to be alone. He would rather not be surrounded by people constantly. Hmm. Self-interest part very correct. But emotions definitely play a big part in my decisions. And, I don't think I have poise. I am just as likely to go into hysterics as any other person.

In a relationship, he will show his love by the things he does rather than by the things he says. Saying "I love you" is not a needed routine because he feels his mate should already know. The only exception to this is if he has logically concluded that it is best for his mate to hear him express his love verbally. Andre is not subject to emotional appeals. If someone is selling a product to him, they will need to present only the facts. They should present them from a standpoint of his sound judgment. He will not be taken in by an emotional story about someone else. He will meet emergencies without getting hysterical and he will always ask "Is this best for me?" Heh I'm not good at saying things like that, and yeah I think actions speak louder than words. I always think saying it doesn't quite convey the full import of the feeling. And it's not true, I always get conned by sob stories when people try to sell me things. I'm most likely to get conned by some poor old woman.

People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially. According to the data input, Andre doesn't write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others. I don't know. This seems too generic to be true. And anyway I write average-ly so people can read my handwriting. And because my mum used to check my handwriting in primary school and erase everything that was too small. Haha traumatic childhood.

Yeah all of this is more or less true, unlike most other tests where they seem to just hit left or right of centre. How fascinating. All in all it doesn't paint a very pretty picture, but it's a fact that I'm a terrible person with countless flaws. I like to think that flaws make us unique as human beings, because we can't all be Stepford wives, you know. That would be too scary. This is one reason I tend to get people irritated with me, because they think I should change for the better but I always resist. I'm such a jerk.
