Glass-walled

I've been feeling really cranky these past few days. A lot of things that I don't want to think about have been popping up in my life, and in addition to that there's the fact that I've a lot more MicroB to go and I just can't find any more space in my brain for everything, and it just gets worse every day that passes.

I guess Phase 23 of SEED Destiny hit me harder than I thought. Heine's death seemed really meaningless, and it was a big fat plot loophole that shouldn't have been there in the first place. Stupid Destiny script writers, they can't write a better plot advancement than to introduce a character that dies in 5 episodes. And that alone isn't too bad, but it's the fact that the Heine fangirls in the SEED fandom are all baying for Kira's blood because they say it's his fault that Heine died, and I'm just like, what? It's just really horrible reading all the emotional posts on the livejournal community and they're making me feel very emotional as well in a way I can't be totally sure of. Damn Kira and his god-mode, he's spoiling the series for everyone.

The other day as I was walking towards Sunshine Plaza I was assailed by a friendly-looking guy wanting to do one of those surveys people on the streets are always getting assailed to do. I spied a Singtel placard nearby and thought it might be one of those get-our-broadband surveys, and I was feeling in a friendly mood, so I stopped. And it turned out the guy was from Prudential. Oh so cunning, surveying people beside a Singtel placard. I think people getting assailed to do surveys make a good subject of observation: if nothing, seeing them dart their eyes around trying to look for routes of escape are amusing enough to watch, and I knew I had that reflex reaction after hearing that he was from Prudential.

So things went on, and he asked me the usual. Thankfully I managed to deflect his queries by replying rather cleverly (and lying through my teeth, of course): "Oh, yes I've heard about the plans Prudential has to offer, back when I was in NS.", "No, not really, since I'm studying right now and only getting allowance, I'm not really interested in a plan", etc. Oh but the guy was so much more cunning than I expected. He said, "I'm sure you have friends who give tuition right? Maybe you could give me their contacts, they might be interested in our plans." And I was like stumped by his shamelessness. When I said I didn't think my friends would be interested, he replied "Oh, why don't you let me just give them a call, and then they can decide for themselves whether they want the plan." This was where I started getting offended, and I flatly declined and marched off.

Like please, do you honestly expect people to give their friends' contacts to a perfect stranger who has plans to harrass them? Even if I were to be mercenary and there was something in it for me (and there isn't anyway, so who cares), I really don't want the flesh flailed off my bones when my friends find out who's been giving their contacts to insurance salesmen. Haha if I were wicked I'd carry the contacts of people I don't like out with me.

I'm really irritated by the little things that people do. I'm irritated by people who go beyond normal limits of human decency to earn money. I'm irritated by people who don't see the line between a joke and an insult. I'm irritated by people who can't be serious when they're supposed to be serious. I'm irritated by people who won't listen when other people are talking. I'm irritated by people who ask you questions and then don't believe the answers you give them. I'm irritated by people who don't listen to you when you tell them things nicely then get angry at you when you blow up at them. I'm irritated by people who take you for granted. I'm irritated, but I won't scream out against those people, because they're people I care for. I just wish sometimes people understand what they're doing instead of acting blind and deaf and ending up resentful when things go wrong. Because there's a limit to everything, and you shouldn't test how far you can stretch the limit if you aren't prepared for the consequences.

Well, if you identified yourself as being one of the people in the groups above please don't fret and worry, because I'm not angry at you. I'm just irritated, and I think there's a subtle but significant difference. I just felt like I needed to scream before I went mad and started killing people, you know. So yes, I'm fine now.

On a happier note, I wrote a Fafner fanfic! I think it's really lousy, because it's my first attempt at a fanfic and I think I don't understand a lot about the characters in Fafner (Which I realised rather alarmingly when I was one sentence into the fanfic. I suck.) and it just turns out being really dull and boring. Well, it's a SouKazu-centred story that resonates with some of the things I've been thinking of lately.

New sound file, because I think the previous one sounded a little too piercing. This one is the same melody, but more pleasant.

Is anyone reading this born on the 29th of October? That's Athrun's birthday apparently. And Lord Djibril's birthday is one day before mine, not that I like being related to him in that way. Argh die, Lord Djibril! I can't wait for the Destiny Photo Collection 02 to come out, because the rare photo cards are of Shinn, Kira, Athrun and Meer. Hmmph why not Lacus?
