Think happy thoughts
When I got home today I was hit by the feeling that it was going to be a very depressing evening. The past few days haven't exactly been very kind to me, with irritations that should really not be irritating me at all but are because they involve issues close to heart, and with some larger power wishing to turn everything into a mess even though I'm already trying to control myself. Sorry for being cryptic again. Then I was at CGH to return stuff in the late afternoon, and as I was leaving I saw a few doctors I knew and started feeling abjectly miserable because I will really really miss the place and all the wonderful people there. I'm such a sentimental fool, getting attached to a place so easily. I just hope that there's a small chance I'll be back there again sometime in the future.
I just thought of this: You know what the best thing about CGH is? All the doors are purple! *gets whacked silly by Jon Chia*
Despite all the depressing thoughts, every cloud has a silver lining! (Yuck I get goosebumps all over saying something as cheesily cliched as that) I checked my e-mail to find that the Heroines 5 set has arrived at La Tendo, hurray. I am quite overjoyed because the set looks really pretty, and because this comes at just the right time, since I've been planning to visit Sunshine one of these days to get a Cell DX phase relax & tv pack. I should really stop myself from spending so much. Especially since I have plans to go overseas this holidays (Hong Kong!) and will need to fund this trip myself, and also buy textbooks for the next two postings. Heroines 5! I can't wait.
And there's no tuition tomorrow, which is great because I'm starting to get a bit tired of going every week to find that she doesn't have a lot of questions to ask me, and that I suck at answering questions because I've forgotten so much of my A Level Chemistry.
Today I was reminded of something really stupid I once said in J2. Back then I was training for Mediquiz and reading Snell's on the way to school when I read a paragraph describing how most men tend to breathe with their diaphragms while women tend to breathe with their ribs (I hope this is right, I haven't touched Snell's for a long time) and was really excited by this random medical fact. So I wanted to tell my classmates about this after a lecture, but somehow my brain wasn't working very well, and what came out of my mouth was, "You know, I read something today that was very interesting. Men and women are actually quite different." Which was just about the dumbest thing I've ever said, and everyone looked at me like I suddenly became retarded. Which led me to hastily explain what I actually meant, that we were different even when it comes to something as simple as breathing.
The point is, men and women are very different. How can you call a man a woman and a woman a man? Obviously this point is more significant to some than to others.
Well anyway, now that I have happy thoughts to think, I really won't go bury myself in melancholy any longer. In fact, in probably one or two days' time I will be able to (hopefully) start playing The Sims 2, and totally waste my holiday time away. I feel quite uncomfortable posting such a short post, but it's better than not posting anything at all.
